The West Central Wildcats played their first home game on Sunday against the Settler Storm, losing 3-1.

The newly minted Pee Wee team kept the visiting Storm on their toes throughout the game, and kept them off the score board in the first period.

While keeping the oncoming Storm at bay, the Wildcats were also kept off the score board, and were tied going into the second, nil-nil.

In the second period the Storm scored twice before the Wildcats were able to put one away.

With just over five minutes left to play in the middle frame, Karly Currie scored, assisted by Maicy McNutt.

Before the period was up, the Storm came back to score again on the Wildcats’ goaltender.

The game finished with neither team scoring in the final period and a score of 3-1 for the Settle Storm.

The West Central Wildcats play in the Rocky Mountain Female Hockey League. The schedules are created monthly, and at the time of publication, the November games have not been finalized.
