Senior girls Eckville Aces capture silver in home tournament

The senior girls hosted four teams at the Eckville Invitational volleyball tournament Oct. 25-26

The senior girls Aces volleyball team hosted its home tournament last weekend.

Four teams hit the court at Eckville Junior/Senior High School for the Eckville Invitational on Oct. 25-26.

The Eckville Aces opened the tournament by winning two sets over the Bentley Panthers on the afternoon of Oct. 25.

During round robin play the senior girls also came out on top of Caroline and Spruce View.

The Aces came out of round robin in second place after losing to Rimbey in a three set battle.

The senior girls came face-to-face with Rimbey again during the championship game Oct. 26.

Rimbey came out on top and captured the Eckville Invitational gold while the home team clinched silver.

Bentley rounded out the podium with the bronze.
