Red and Black Awards honour Eckville Jr/Sr High School athletes

The annual athletic awards were held at the school June 19

Student athletes at Eckville Junior Senior High School were recognized for excellence in sports on June 19.

The annual Red and Black awards held at the school featured a total of 79 medals and awards.

Coaches and teachers took the time to reminisce on the highs and lows of the past year while honouring the student athletes for the sport, or sports, of their choice.

The awards ranged from sport specific awards to Athlete of the Year at both the junior and senior level.

The students who volunteered to coach mini basketball for the elementary school kids were also recognized with a certificate.
