Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) announced the appointment of Kathleen Terry to the position of coordinator of Education Services on Nov. 16.
Terry will start in the position in January, 2024.
Terry has served in WCPS for more than 25 years, most recently over the past 12 years as assistant principal at Rimbey Elementary School.
She has brings experience with leadership and developing comprehensive literacy assessment and interventions to the role.
“Kathleen’s extensive classroom and school leadership experience situates her well to take on this leadership position
within Wolf Creek Public Schools,” said Kevin Newman, WCPS assistant superintendent - Education Services.
“The Education Services team is excited to have Kathleen join in on supporting the staff and students throughout Wolf Creek.”
Terry is a lifelong learner and strong advocate for inclusive education, serving as an inclusion coach at Rimbey
Elementary School, and mentoring educators in developing IPPS, LSPs, and overseeing EAL programming and support
for students through classroom strategies.
“I am truly honoured and excited to join the Wolf Creek division office team,” said Terry. “I am looking forward to working
alongside the Education Services team as we continue to build and support environments that foster success for all.”
Terry holds a bachelor of education degree from the University of Alberta and a master of education from the City University
of Seattle. She also has extensive experience and training in leadership, literacy education, Indigenous education and
reconciliation, and in addressing and supporting students with diverse needs.
