Earlier this week we reported on the work being done to the Sylvan Lake Community Health Centre to prepare for AACS.
The Urgent Care Committee said at the original time of publication the centre would be open to the public for May 22, however new information has come to light which has changed the opening date.

The roof top air exchanger for the AACS has been delayed, and as such the service will not be able to open for the planned date.
AACS will open to the public for service as of June 4, 2018. Minister of Health Sarah Hoffman will confirm a grand opening date after June 4.
The AACS is not a hospital nor a walk-in clinic, and is to be used for minor emergencies.
The clinic will be open to the public seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
The doctors will then have one hour after closing to finish up with any backlog of patients, according to Susan Samson, chairperson of the Urgent Care Committee.
“[AACS] is designed for emergency incidents. It is for non-life threatening injury, not prescription refills,” said Samson.
Despite the small delay in getting the roof top air exchanger, the committee is still pleased to have the care facility opening soon.
