Freezing rain expected for Sylvan Lake and Eckville

Environment Canada says freezing rain is expected for most of the province.

Freezing rain is expected later today into Wednesday morning across central Alberta.

An area of freezing rain is forecast to develop over western Alberta later this morning then push across central regions in the afternoon and through the night.

There is still uncertainty as to the exact timing and location for the greatest impact from the freezing rain. Meteorologists at Environment and Climate Change Canada will continue to monitor the development of this system and provide further updates and warnings as needed.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ABstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ABStorm.
