It was a quick one-two in the Eckville Aces first game of the provincial tournament.

In a best of three game, the Aces quickly dominated Clear Water Crusaders two sets to zero.

After an opening ceremony earlier in the day, where each team was piped in to a cheering crowd, the Aces had a few hours to wait.

The team used the wait time to their advantage playing a close first set and moving far ahead with the second.

The two sets took less than 40 minutes, start to finish.

Following the game against the Crusaders the Aces had a bit of a rest before finishing Day 1 of provincials with one last game against Ecole Beausejour.

This evening the Aces will take part in a banquet for the players, with a special guest speaker Chris Wandler, the head coach for the Red Deer College Queens volleyball team.
